The initiative is in line with DMC’s Road safety campaign which began last year and targeted both its customers and the general public about the hazards that may face them on the road.  The first step to create a culture of safety is through changing the behaviour of drivers and pedestrians and that is exactly what DMC tried to do.

The day began with a speech by Mr.Motaz Abdin, DMC Marketing Supervisor and a word from Major General Abdin who commended DAL Group’s role and praised the support it offered the authorities as a private sector company. He emphasized the importance of the message that the ‘’Road is Everyone’s Right’’ and although the journey ahead was a long one, he felt that with hard work and with help from partners like DAL Group, we would make it there. Sayga presented its ‘’Safe Crossing Zone’ Initiative which was endorsed by the Major and given its due share of praise and recognition as an initiative that proved that its employees went beyond caring for themselves to caring for their local communities. He promised to give the initiative all the support it required to see the light.

The Road Safety Campaign and contribution to the Arab Traffic week is another manifestation of our commitment to corporate responsibility. As a responsible citizen, we will continue to care the well-being and safety of the Sudanese people through quality products, services and community initiatives.
