Today, we’re checking out the brand-new 2025 Lexus IS 350, because Lexus has added a lot of new standard features for the 2025 model year. This model also boasts above-average reliability, according to Consumer Reports, which is a rarity in today’s luxury vehicle segment.
Pricing and Trim Levels

As you’d expect, the 2025 Lexus IS 350 comes in a few different trim levels. The F Sport Design starts at $44,800, which is a modest $275 increase from the 2024 model year. The F Sport trim, which we are testing today, starts at $46,700.
These prices are for the rear-wheel-drive configuration. If you want all-wheel drive, simply add $2,000 to either price. Regardless of the configuration, the powertrain remains the same.
Power and Performance

Under the hood, the IS 350 is powered by a reliable 3.5L naturally aspirated V6 engine, producing 311 horsepower at 6,600 RPM and 280 lb-ft of torque at 4,800 RPM. Power is sent to the rear wheels (or all wheels) via a six-speed automatic transmission for the AWD version, while the RWD model gets an eight-speed automatic.
Performance-wise, the IS 350 can accelerate from 0-60 mph in approximately 5.6 seconds. The top speed is an impressive 143 mph. Fuel economy stands at 20 mpg city and 28 mpg highway for the RWD version, while the AWD model gets 19 mpg city and 26 mpg highway. Premium unleaded fuel is required.
Acceleration and Braking

In Sport mode, acceleration is instantaneous. The IS 350 delivers an exhilarating launch, making it feel like a competitor to the Infiniti Q50 Red Sport. The combination of power and reliability makes for an unbeatable package.
Braking performance is equally important. The IS 350 features 13.1-inch ventilated front discs and 11.7-inch ventilated rear discs. The 60-0 mph stopping distance is an impressive 110 feet, which is better than many sports sedans. While the brake feel leans towards the luxury side rather than a sports sedan feel, the numbers speak for themselves.
Suspension and Handling

The IS 350 comes equipped with a double-wishbone front suspension and an independent multi-link rear suspension. The F Sport model includes a sport-tuned suspension, front and rear stabilizer bars, and a Torsen limited-slip rear differential for RWD models.
Our test model features the F Sport Handling Package, which includes an adaptive damping suspension. This system continuously monitors road conditions and adjusts each shock absorber individually for a smoother ride and improved handling. The ride quality is exceptionally smooth, making the IS 350 a pleasure to drive.
Steering and Cabin Noise

Steering feel varies depending on the selected drive mode. In Sport mode, the steering is noticeably heavier, offering a more engaging driving experience. In Normal mode, it feels lighter. The ability to customize steering weight is a great feature.
Cabin noise is minimal, as expected from Lexus. Rear visibility is enhanced by an automatic sunshade that lowers when reversing. Additionally, rain-sensing wipers come standard, automatically activating in wet conditions.
Exterior Design and Features

The IS 350 remains a striking vehicle. Our test car is finished in Infrared, and the first letter of the VIN (‘J’) confirms that it is built in Japan.
Up front, bi-LED headlights and LED daytime running lights come standard. Optional triple-beam headlights ($1,250) provide extra illumination. Lexus’ signature spindle grille dominates the front end, while air curtains direct airflow around the wheels for better aerodynamics.
Side Profile Updates
For 2025, Lexus replaces the chrome window surrounds with dark chrome, which is now standard. The power-adjustable, heated side mirrors now come with power folding and driver-side auto-dimming as standard features.
Wheel options include standard 19-inch split five-spoke alloys and optional 19-inch forged BBS alloys. Our test model features one of the BBS configurations, enhancing the car’s sporty aesthetic.
Rear Design and Cargo Space

At the rear, you’ll find a body-colored shark-fin antenna and an optional carbon fiber spoiler. LED taillights, LED license plate lighting, and a gloss black rear diffuser enhance the aggressive styling. Dual exhaust outlets with satin chrome tips complete the look.
Trunk space is 10.8 cubic feet, with 60/40 split-folding rear seats for additional storage. A Lexus first-aid kit, grocery bag hooks, and a spare tire are included.
Interior Comfort and Technology

Rear legroom measures 32.2 inches. A rear center armrest with cup holders and rear air vents come standard, though rear USB charging ports are absent.
Up front, a 10-way power driver’s seat and an 8-way power passenger seat come standard, along with heated and ventilated leather seats. The F Sport bucket seats are incredibly comfortable. Memory settings, newly standard for 2025, add convenience.
The leather-wrapped, power-adjustable steering wheel includes optional Ashwood accents. The push-button start and Lexus LFA-inspired digital gauge cluster provide a high-tech feel, with customizable drive mode visuals.
Infotainment and Features

The IS 350 comes with an 8-inch touchscreen as standard, while a 10.3-inch display is available. A touchpad controller and physical buttons aid usability.
Other notable features include a power moonroof, dual-zone climate control, aluminum pedals, an analog Lexus clock, LED interior lighting, and a center console with multiple USB ports and a 12V outlet.
