Porsche has got everyone with surprise, We all were expecting the next 718 Cayman and Boxster to be fully electric but Porsche is going to offer both electric power and good old-fashioned gasoline engines.

Don’t get us wrong this electric version is still in the works and it will pack serious power. There will be rear-wheel drive as well as grippy all-wheel-drive. Porsche has promised to deliver dream like handling that’s why it is taking much time to build it. Despite being battery powered they are working on to make it runs like mid-engine sports car.
For those who loves a sound of a flat-six engine there will be agas-powered 718 available. To make it work with all the new rules and without costing a fortune, it’ll probably share some DNA with its big brother, the 911. It’s a smart way to keep the purists happy.
Here’s where it gets really wild, though. There are rumors of top-tiers cars like GT4 RS that they will be getting hybrid system pulled from new 911 GTS. Let that sink in: a twin-turbo engine and an electric motor teaming up to crank out a wild 530+ horsepower. That’s not just a big jump in power; it’s a whole new stratosphere of performance.
Visually, it’s getting a facelift, probably borrowing some style from the electric Taycan to look more modern. Long story short, because they’re basically developing two cars in one, we’ll have to wait a little longer to see it.
