Design and Legacy

The 2026 BMW Z4 will retain its roadster proportions including its iconic long hood and short overhangs. It will be made with 50/50 weight distribution. The vehicle has its identi in the exterior, its well known kidney grille along with LED headlights, and L-shaped taillights makes it recognizable from every angle.

The significant interior design change which was previously done and will be continued in this model is the manual gearbox. the interior is going to be driver focused with digital cockpit and 10.25-inch control display.

I think this will be last generation model as we are not seeing any signs of its successor or next generation model.

The 2026 BMW Z4 is almost confirmed to be the last generation model in the US at least on this platform. It is expected to be released or launched in the May 2026. However, there is no official date yet announced and we need to wait until we get an official announcement.

Some of the last units including the US-spec Z4 M40i will be made at Magna Steyr facility in Graz, Austria. same plant where Toyota Supra will be built.
