Slated as the most powerful internal combustion version of the current-generation Charger, the 2027 Super Bee Launch Edition is bringing forced induction, track-focused hardware, and a serious sting.
The Powertrain: No V8, No Problem?
The defining characteristic of the new Super Bee is what’s under the hood: a heavily reworked version of Stellantis’s 3.0-liter twin-turbo “Hurricane” inline-six. Dodge took the High Output (H.O.) version of the Sixpack engine and dialed it up with custom calibration, improved cooling, and larger 56mm Garrett turbochargers that push over 30 psi of boost.
The result is a SAE-certified 600 horsepower and 531 lb-ft of torque. That is a massive 100-horsepower jump over the previous generation’s 6.4-liter 392 V8.
