2026 Ford Edge

The 2026 Ford Edge has two conflicting stories. In North America, the Ford Edge was discontinued after Ford shifted Edge production toward their Electric Vehicles. In international markets, like China and some parts of the Middle East, the Ford Edge is still in production and Ford has expanded the Edge to a tech-heavy midsized SUV, the Ford Edge L.

Exterior Design

the L in the 2026 Edge L meaning a longer wheelbase compared to the classic US version. It’s clear that the styling has shifted – moving away from the rounded, and yes, “soccer-mom” aesthetics – towards a more aggressive look. The Edge L sports a huge front grille as well as a “floating” style roof. It undeniably competes with the Range Rover as a more premium SUV, rather than an everyday family vehicle.

Specs & Performance

The 2026 builds a better balance between performance and practicality. The old 2.7L V6 ST is gone and replaced by several new powertrains with high performance build. 2026 Ford Edge features 2.0L EcoBoost Turbo 4-Cylinder which has 250 horsepower.

This is connected to an 8-speed automatic. It’s so smooth that you get all of the power sent through without any of the gear hunting.

0-60 Acceleration

The standard EcoBoost trim achieve 0-60 mph under 7.4 seconds. The hybrid model is quicker compared to the gas model. this will reach 0-60 mph mark under 7.1 seconds.

Inside the Cabin

Interior of 2026 Ford Edge is where most impressive updates are made. In the center you will see 4K panoramic screen with 2+2+3 configuration. i personally like the “zero-gravity” reclining seats in second row perfect for the longer journey.
