2026 Hyundai Ioniq 2 – Everything that we know

2026 Hyundai Ioniq 2 is an all-electric crossover compact SUV designed to feel the gap between Inster and Kona Electric models. This is codenamed as BJ1 also it will be built on the shared platform of Kia EV2. Hyundai’s ambitious electric vehicle is going to take on Renault 4, Volvo EX30, and VW ID.2.

Design and Size

Let’s talk about exterior design of Ioniq 2 having Hyundai’s Parametric Pixel design including pixel-style LED headlights and aerodynamic profile with five door body.

This will be length over 4 meters in length, similar to Hyundai Bayon. Production version is likely to have closed grille just like Ioniq 1.

Expected Pricing

Built on the E-GMP platform, the Ioniq 2 will feature front-wheel setup with 201 bhp electric motor. You will get battery options like 58.3 kWh pack for around 270 miles WLTP range and 81.4 kWh variant exceeding 350 miles.

This will continue to have fast charging capabilities as well as enough space to carry your charger along with your trips.

Interior Features

Let’s move to interior features of 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 2, expect a wide combined digital display which will also have instrument cluster and infotainment system. Wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto along with adaptive lighting with drive modes. Like previous model this will have more space with flat surface build.

2026 Hyundai Ioniq 2 will cost you around €30,000 (£25,000-£28,000) for europe and $22,000-$32,000 for United States market. Previously unveiled at 2025 Munich Motor Show, expected to begin its sale in mid 2026.
