Engine & Performance of 2026 Lexus LC 500
The 2026 Lexus LC 500 is powered by 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V8 (codenamed 2UR-GSE), co-developed with Yamaha. This system produces 471 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque. For more power adjustment it is paired with 10-speed automatic transmission to tackle any terrain or obstacle. Also, note that this marks end to hybrid options in Lexus LC 500.
The reason why Lexus took this decision was in 2024 only 18 hybrids sold versus 1,446 V8 models. LC will be the flagship for Lexus’ pure-combustion engines.
It is said to achieve 0–60 mph in just 4.4 seconds (coupe) and has a 168-mph top speed while highway cruising achieves 24 mpg.
2026 Updates
Lexus is celebrating the LC’s legacy with two exclusive Inspiration Series models – Coupe & Convertible.
- Coupe (200 units, North America): Limited to 200 units this will feature new Smoke Matte Gray paint, a carbon fiber roof, 21-inch matte black forged wheels, blacked-out trim, red calipers, active rear steering, and a shining black-and-white interior with sport seats and serialized badging. It’s price is expected to be around $101,700 215.
- Convertible (350 units): Limited to 350 units it will debuts Wind exterior paint with an exclusive Brown/Silver soft top and a unique Saddle Tan/White semi-aniline leather interior. Additionally, Includes Climate Concierge with upper-body heating and a limited-slip differential. It will cost you around $109,200.
Timeless Design of 2026 Lexus LC 500
The 2026 model features carbon fiber elements (roof, spoiler, canards) reducing weight and boosting rigidity. It’s Hand-stitched leather, geometric-patterned Alcantara door panels, and Satin Metallic accents just feel more luxurious and premium to me.
For convertible, a four-layer soft top opens/closes in 15–16 seconds at speeds up to 31 mph. Its hydraulic mechanism, inspired by Japanese calligraphy strokes, underwent triple the typical durability tests.
Technology & Safety
The 2026 LC will have standard 12.3-inch touchscreen with cloud navigation, voice assistant (“Hey Lexus”), wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot.
Added Lexus Safety System which includes pre-collision braking with pedestrian/cyclist detection, lane tracing assist, road sign recognition, and emergency steering assist. Additional tech features include Panoramic View Monitor, Intuitive Parking Assist, Climate Concierge (convertible), and a standard Mark Levinson® audio system create a serene environment.
