Mazda, Hiroshima-based manufacturer unveils its most ambitious 2026 models lineup which has SkyActiv technology, kodo design language and fearless approach to electrification. From rotary-powered sports cars to practical electric crossovers, Mazda has proven time by time that they are visionary car make with out of the box thinking.
2026 Mazda B-Series

After wait of nearly two decades Mazda will be resurrecting its iconic B-Series pickup – 2026 Mazda B-series. This compact truck prioritizes maneuverability and efficiency in a market dominated by oversized pickups. Partnership of Toyota in U.S will feature design cues from the CX-5’s bold front grille and “Kigumi”-inspired bodywork.
2026 Mazda B-Series is likely to share current Ford Ranger’s chassis (via Mazda’s Toyota collaboration), with potential assembly in the shared Alabama plant for cost efficiency. It’s base model will have 2.5L SkyActiv-G (187 hp/185 lb-ft) paired with 6-speed automatic and standard AWD and its turbo variant will have (≈250 hp) expected.
There will be a crew cab configuration only along with CX-5-inspired LED lighting, rugged cladding, and “MAZDA” tailgate lettering replacing badges.
2026 Mazda CX-5

Mazda’s best-selling model enters its third generation with concept, the 2026 CX-5 combines functional versatility with premium aesthetics. Growing 4.5 inches in length and 0.6 inches wider for vastly improved rear-seat comfort and cargo space.
Powered by 2.5L SkyActiv-G (187 hp) + 6-speed auto + standard AWD. Also, there will be dedicated Mazda-developed hybrid (non-Toyota) arrives in 2027.
2026 Mazda RX-9

Mazda’s storied rotary engine has a range-extending generator in the RX-9 plug-in hybrid. Getting inspiration from RX-Vision and Iconic SP concepts this makes a sports car targets the Nissan Z and Supra with a focus on balance and driver engagement.
This will have rear wheels two motor engine system with 365–400 hp, 0–60 mph in ~4 seconds. Chassis is considered lightweight RWD with 50/50 weight distribution. Sleek, long-hood proportions inspired by the iconic sp concept.
2026 Mazda Arata (e-TPV Successor)

The 2026 Mazda Arata is going to be a electric crossover with the Soul Mazda’s Serious Second Act in Electrification Learning from the MX-30’s limited appeal. this is Mazda’s first dedicated EV platform, co-developed with Chinese partner Changan.
This is expected to have 300+ miles of range, SkyActiv-EV principles with Kodo’s elegance. I love the Dual-motor AWD system targeting under 6-second 0–60 mph. Design wise it will be somewhere between CX-5 and premium MX-30.
2026 Mazda MX-5 Miata
Mazda is now committed to the fifth-generation MX-5 prioritizing lightness (<2,200 lbs), RWD balance, and naturally aspirated responsiveness. It will have upgraded 2.5L SkyActiv-Z engine with Euro 7/CAFE standards.
Chassis will be a lighter due to reduction via aluminum/composites. It retains sub-4-meter length keeping its tax under control. There is no much info about its interior but it will be modern and driver centric infotainment.
