2027 Dodge Charger Superbee

Where horsepower meets honesty, and the latest hype from Detroit gets put to the test: the 2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee is here.

For the muscle car purists still mourning the loss of the Hemi V8, the new Super Bee might initially sound like a tough pill to swallow. But a quick look at the spec sheet proves Dodge isn’t letting this iconic nameplate go quietly. Slated as the most powerful internal combustion version of the current-generation Charger, the 2027 Super Bee Launch Edition is bringing forced induction, track-focused hardware, and a serious sting.

The Powertrain: No V8, No Problem?

The defining characteristic of the new Super Bee is what’s under the hood: a heavily reworked version of Stellantis’s 3.0-liter twin-turbo “Hurricane” inline-six. Dodge took the High Output (H.O.) version of the Sixpack engine and dialed it up with custom calibration, improved cooling, and larger 56mm Garrett turbochargers that push over 30 psi of boost.

The result is a SAE-certified 600 horsepower and 531 lb-ft of torque. That is a massive 100-horsepower jump over the previous generation’s 6.4-liter 392 V8.

By the Numbers:

  • 0-60 mph: 3.6 seconds (a full second quicker than the 2023 model)
  • Quarter-Mile: 11.8 seconds
  • Drivetrain: 8-speed automatic with standard All-Wheel Drive

If you’re worried about the all-wheel-drive system ruining your weekend burnouts, don’t be. A button on the steering wheel instantly disconnects the front axle, flipping the car into rear-wheel-drive mode for drag strip box burnouts and donuts.

Track-Ready Hardware

Dodge is pushing the narrative that this isn’t just a straight-line bruiser; it’s built for repeatable track performance. To handle the extra heat and cornering forces, the Super Bee is equipped with:

  • Massive Brakes: 16-inch Brembo vented rotors with six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers. Dodge claims this setup offers twice the brake fade resistance of the old SRT Chargers.
  • Adaptive Suspension: New Continuous Damping Control (CDC) dual-valve adaptive dampers that adjust every 10 milliseconds. The front spring rates are increased by 12%, the rears by 6%, and the rear stabilizer bar is 20% stiffer.
  • Functional Aero: A redesigned front fascia increases airflow to the coolers by 30% while generating over 100 pounds of downforce at 150 mph.
  • Rubber: 20-by-11-inch wheels wrapped in sticky 305/35ZR20 Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 summer tires.

The Launch Edition Exclusives

Every 2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee will initially roll out as a limited-production “Launch Edition”.

Dodge is keeping the styling bold but focused. Buyers get a choice of three exterior colors: the vibrant Sucker Punch yellow, Shady, and Diamond Black. The exterior is complete with turbo-inspired Super Bee “Stinger” logos and gloss-black hood decals.

Inside, Dodge opts for performance over pure luxury. The Super Bee features unique cloth seats with body-hugging bolsters, Citrus Peel inserts, and Bee-themed headrest logos. It also introduces a Cosworth-developed Drive Experience Recorder (DxR) to capture telemetry and video for track days.
