The 2027 Hyundai Santa Fe is an upcoming mid-cycle refresh for the fifth-generation (MX5) SUV. Current boxy model was debuted in the 2023 has now moved with consumer feedback. 2027 model is now feature exterior design along with newer interior and extended electric powertrain.
Exterior Design Updates

My personal favourite update in the 2027 Hyundai Santa Fe is the “H-motif” design language. Low-set horizontal taillights are now being replaced with vertical LED taillights placed higher on the rear pillars.
In the front end we have “more cohesive” appearance with slimmer headlights and a four-bar grille. Boxy design will remain same but expect changes in the wheel arch accents for more aerodynamic efficiency and look like “Land Rover-lite” aesthetic.
Interior Design
The 2027 Santa Fe is an flagship software-defined vehicles (SDVs) from the Hyundai. Previous models curved display will be replaced with the tablet-oriented design.
It will feature 17-Inch Infotainment Screen at the center of dashboard which replaces previous 12.3-inch integrated unit. Great part is that it runs on Android Automotive Operating System, this is completely new platform system which allows seamless integration with native apps.
Powertrain Specs
The 2027 Santa Fe is getting significant innovations in powertrain departments. First we get Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) powertrain which has 2.5-liter turbocharged engine with a dedicated generator with high capacity battery. This setup is will provide total range of 600 miles which is like 900+ km.
Then there is 2.5T Models which are going have 8-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). one another change in the 2.5L turbo models are traditional 8-speed torque-converter automatic transmission.

2027 Hyundai Santa Fe is going to debut in late 2026 while deliveries are likely to begin in the first half of 2027.
