2027 Toyota Highlander EV is an upcoming three-row electric SUV which is revealed in recent teasers. This is going to be brands first BEV with eight seater configurations with family-friendly space and electric efficiency. It’s production is likely to start at Toyota’s Kentucky plant in late 2026.

It’s exterior design now adopts Toyota’s “Hammerhead” fascia with sleek aerodynamic lines and a full-width rear LED light bar. It will be 195 inches long while looking more modern and sculpted than the gas model. Interior shows spacious three-row cabin with captain’s chairs, panoramic glass roof, dedicated rear climate zones, and a landscape-oriented center display.
Powertrain and Performance
You can expect 2027 Toyota Highlander EV with a dual-motor AWD setup on the next-gen e-TNGA platform, this is going to produce 350 horsepower suitable for family hauling. The official specs are yet to be revealed but rumors suggest a targeted range over 310 miles (500 km). Fast charging could allow 10-80% in 15-20 minutes making it more confidence on road trips.
Interior and Practicality
The cabin is going to offers seats for eight peoples which will provide cargo space, and no compromises from battery placement under seats. Toyota is assembling 2027 Toyota Highlander EV at its Kentucky facility alongside other EVs. This is going to focus U.S market with North Carolina-built batteries.
