2026 Toyota Hilux is not yet officially announced but here are some of its rumored specs and upgraded features information.
Powertrain Options
The 2026 Hilux is going to adopt Toyota’s “multipath” strategy where buyers will have multiple powertrain options to choose from. you will get petrol, diesel as well as rumored EV is also planned.
The higher trims of 2026 Toyota Hilux are going to have 48V mild-hybrid system (V-Active) as an standardard. Which will definitely improve fuel efficiency by 5 to 10%. The transmission is expected to remain same which was six-speed with manual and automatic options.
Exterior Updates
2026 Hilux is going to be marketed as “all-new” generation it will still retain its IMV platform but expect major changes in it. In the front end it is expected to have more aggressive mesh grille with horizontal-vertical slats and C-shaped LED lights.
Interior Upgrades
Cabin receives most of the changes in this all new generation Hilux. you will see a larger 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen (likely shared with the Land Cruiser Prado) along with fully digital instrument cluster which i dont like and premium leather in cabin of “High” and “GR Sport” trims.
2026 Toyota Hilux Price & Release Date
Due to tariff Toyota will not get Hilux in the USA but as an alternative USA buyers will have similar 2026 Toyota Tacoma. which is expected to be released in the early 2026 with the base price of $30,000 or more.
